What went wrong

Sadly i could not get the meshes to animate inside the unreal engine and this created a lot of frustration for me, i ended up having to leave them as static meshes in the scene. However i have added pick up systems and matinee cut scenes to add more dynamic / interactive elements.

The audio assets were mostly taken from YouTube and other free sfx sites, the narration was created by me, i did attempt to use FMOD but there was some issues with the plugin and as i was short for time, i decided to use AUDACITY which is a free audio editing software which i found very easy to use, this helped me create the ambience that you hear throughout the environment and all the other sounds/narration as well.

I did attempt to add a menu screen to the game but again for some reason the blueprint wasn’t working and some of the nodes in the blueprint editor where missing in the 4.6 version that i had updated to. So i did have to scrap that idea as well.

If i was to do this assignment again i would have downloaded the latest version of unreal prior to the assignment brief giving me the time to get used to the new user interface of the updated versions and to research further into bringing animated assets into the unreal engine and actually getting them to work.
